And here I thought that Helldivers would have a thick enough crust of ironic humour to be immune to the problem faced by WH40K of people missing the point entirely and going "wowzers epic manly war!".

Guess it was obvious, given that the original inspiration by Robert A. Heinlein was also completely unironic...

Only if you're among those that understands that HD2 is a parody of a fascist ultranationalist state, and not a "supersoldier" fighting for Super Earth (turns out, a LOT of ppl don't understand that nuance, which is bloody terrifying).

Yes, I'm on of those that believes the comments on the back of the case was satirical propaganda that was too well done haha
