I'd guess 5 and 20. That's a fine old dog, but well within a normal lifespan.
You need more data points to make the assumption that it stayed constant, it could be that the dog grew completely after a year while it took the boy over a decade. I know it's a ridiculous, unlikely scenario, but without the proper data it's hard to assert otherwise
