You need more data points to make the assumption that it stayed constant, it could be that the dog grew completely after a year while it took the boy over a decade. I know it's a ridiculous, unlikely scenario, but without the proper data it's hard to assert otherwise
two points are enough for a line and a line is all you need
you can make a line with only one point, you just need faith 🙏
