Welcome to The Shitpost Office

Shitposts processed from 9 to 5, with occasional overtime on weekends.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not SinisterTreat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe

Rule 2: No Prohibited PostageSome packages are simply undeliverable. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content
  • NSFW content must be properly tagged

If you see anything that violates these rules, please report it so we can return it to sender. Otherwise? Have fun, be silly, and enjoy the chaos. The office runs best when everyone’s laughing.... or retching over the stench, at least.

I don’t. But it might be nice to assume that not all people know why.

Why?

Sold to china, some original Opera devs started Vivaldi

And (yes, I’m still salty) they used to charge money for a web browser without ads.

Ah know wonder i like vivaldi, if i need a chrome based browser.

[–] not_IO@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

i would suggest ungoogled chromium instead (or chromite for mobile) vivaldi sends your system info to their servers, also they did not strip all google components from it, this results in regular connections to google servers for no reason

Oh thanks! Also cromite works on Windows: https://github.com/uazo/cromite/releases

I find is seriously breaks internet pages as a daily driver so been using vivaldi with the usual ublock origib, etc. Also have network dns blocking.

Do you know of a better alternative to Opera Mini? Normally I use Firefox but if I'm in an area with poor data coverage, Opera Mini is a lifesaver. It compresses pages so well, that the modern web is still usable with a sub-100Kbps connection.

Baste.
That's what's being done to the eggs.

Probably scooping a bit of hot butter and putting it on top to speed cooking.

I misread the comment I replied to. I thought they were asking what was happening to the egg.

18kb is more than my first computer had. VIC-20, 3.5KB free RAM. (Unless we mixed up kb and KB. What a dumb system.)
