Honestly this is a pretty big development in the field of age reversal technology.

This ain't the first time this technology has been tested in animals (some buggerreich scientist tested similar stem cells in mice for instance like a few years back.) but this is the first time such a breakthrough has occured within a Chinese lab setting and not in some burggerreich lab.

Not to mention it was tested on a species of animal that had like 93% DNA similarity to Humans, which is quite significant as it effectively proves that such age reversal technology can be implemented into humans.

I think we are still a decade or two away from this technology making a significant impact on the medical field, but if it continues on the trajectory it's going it's only going to be a matter of time till this actually comes about, and thankfully considering that china is currently leading the charge in age reversal technology I doubt it will just be something used and hoarded by the Bourgeoisie, so yeah, very positive news all around.

Indeed, I'm very optimistic that this tech is being pioneered in a socialist country.

Yeah, I mean to be honest this is kinda just a complete denounceation of the American (and more accurately, capitalist.) system since the west had like a near two decades headstart (something I'm considering around stem cells were discovered, so 2005 ISH) and have done basically fuck all with it (largely due to the difficulty age reversal startups have in actually acquiring funding for their research, since it's something that ain't going to have a return for like a decade or more worth's of time.) while in comparison the Chinese didn't really start to engage in large scale ages reversal research until like, 2018/2020 ISH, and sure they would of had at least peripheral access to western research, but still, the fact they've managed to develop age reversal treatment for a species of animal that shares 93% of our DNA in less that 5/7 years is fucking way faster than what the burgerreichs scientists have managed to do in a similar timeframe.

For sure, this kind of fundamental research requires long term commitment that simply isn't possible within the framework of a market system. It's a similar problem with any technological breakthrough like fusion or using a different substrate for computer chips. The development happens on timescales that are far beyond market cycles, and they can only be achieved with sustained state funding.

theyre gonna make us work forever

If they're foolish enough to foist immortality on the working class, then they guarantee their own doom, everyone will suddenly have the capacity to organize decades or centuries long plans that can also slip under the radar

The mass accumulation of experience, skills, and knowledge would be inevitable and would destroy capitalism

I mean, to be honest capitalism is already fucked in my opinion it's more so a matter of how much damage capital will do before it implodes in and off itself

I imagine this tech will be applied very differently under socialism in China than it would in our capitalist hellscape.

This is tough because I don't like aging but I am looking forward to eventually dying.

There's nothing forcing you having to die from old age. Except maybe some social taboo around people choosing when/how to die
