Me, who cleared room in all tanks connected to downspouts

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago

I mulched on Sunday. I’ll assume myself included.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

This is a wonderfully specific meme

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

Unfortunately I just bought mulch, I didn't actually get any of it onto the garden.

I'm having A Moment and this is the best place to have them. Thank you to the late night peeps that responded and understood, I am so thankful for this space!

Hugs. Lots of them. That horrible trap of getting stuck in place where you know quite well what everyone tells you what you ought to feel but somehow it's just not happening. If you think therapy will help, then it's worth a shot imo. It's a great way to sneak up on understanding the real issues. And therapy comes in a lot of different shapes and sizes.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

I can't offer advice but I will scream into the void with you.

We are all here for you too.

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

Virtual hugπŸ«‚ therapy sounds like a great idea to work through some of the pain

Woo finished 45m early and got free dinner in the form of leftover mini burgers and samosas leftover from a function this afternoon

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 9 points 2 months ago

Still unwell with child-germs, but I'm feeling better than I was.

Today is a chill out day. Niece is out, SIL at work, and her husband is in and out. Got the washing done, painted my nails, now I'm having a smoke where the dog poops, and when I'm done I'll make some toast.

I bought some colourful hair ties and green nail polish just for the niece, she's rapt. I'll paint her nails when she comes home :3

Back to melbs today. Dreading it but that's okay.

Managed to revive an old HDD w/ a whole lot of random choons I was making at the beginning of the rona. I thought they were gone but they survived! My mind went to some odd places.

Have all the project files which I completely can't remember making (day drinking lol).

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 9 points 2 months ago

tide is out

a slow walk at the beach will be nice

[–] Nath@aussie.zone 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Most of my team leave today. The project was extended three months to September 30. The work isn't done, there's still a few things to roll out so three of us are going another month.

It's a bit sad. I've worked with some of these people over two years.

[–] Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

That's sad. When I left my last job I cried a little because I'd been with some of the team for over three years and it sucked losing them, but definitely needed to happen

I'm so overdue for a sickie. It's been like two months now! I think I might have an early finish this week or something πŸ€”

Had dinner at friend’s last night, drove there but then left the car because we had some drinks. I need to go and collect it but reckon the second I step outside there will be rain

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago

Oooh little storm incoming!

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Tried a bakers delight cinnamon scroll. Very meh. Barely any cinnamon filling in the layers and icing was not cream cheese. If you like cinnamon scrolls, don’t bother.

My cat litter bag had a small tear in it so there was loose cat litter in the delivery box. Made a horrible mess, but the entire litter tray corner has been cleaned up and I now have another cardboard box ready for a new life as mulch.

I’ve got a cold of some description. Have to go run a few errands then it’s bed the rest of the day.

Edit: I know how I got it. My mate came over for a jam Saturday night and he has kids who are sick.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Why does this pot of Greek yoghurt taste like sour cream?

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago (4 children)

Maybe because it’s higher fat content and creamier than normal yogurt?

Soggy dog walk this morning. It's definitely looking like an indoors day today.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

Sick kid last night so working from home, a wee bit of an extension of the long weekend.

And I've got the bazzite laptop up and running again. I just need to login and set everything up again. I guess the old SSD was just waiting to be disconnected to finally let go.

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

I’ve definitely hurt my back and have now injured my good shoulder last night πŸ™ƒ

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

the sleep in helped a lot πŸ‘

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

There has been a nice dry patch after this morning's rain, so I've been able to put out a few bales of mulch. Taking all the tape off the cardboard to go underneath it is the tedious and time consuming bit. If all goes to plan there will be some rain soon to wet it all down for me.

Edit: still no rain, and the sun came out again. I've done a couple more bales of mulch, so I've now covered the full perimiter of the yard where the new beds are going, at half the width of the beds I'm planning. It's actually been really nice weather for working outside.
