Conservatives tend to acknowledge cracks in the system earlier than liberals, as their movement is more openly and aggressively allowed to agitate its base.

Liberals have to cling to the pinker "We live in the best of all possible worlds!" denialist state until some conservative government kicks over another pillar of the domestic polity. And then the only remedy is to return to "normalcy" of liberal governance without ever repairing the damage.

Its just another example of the political ratchet that forces policy forever towards that Murray Rothbard dream.

It's just hilarious how liberals became mentally identical to conservatives in the 2000s. Same lazy mindset, same "incompetent, mediocre, and proud of it" mindset.

grillman but with a pride flag.

Through good governance yes but that will probably mean that the fascism will be crancked up a notch

"good governance"is a really strange way of spelling "intensified looting of the Global South".

Yeah, and Capitalists will always claim China's poverty reduction success to be a success of capitalism because all poverty reduction is tautalogically product of capitalism.

I love to ask them why China is an outlier in this regard.

Of course "we aren't allowed to create a hostile working environment for trans people by being overtly hateful anymore" is cited as a way in which capitalism is collapsing. Do you people want me to work or not???

They want you to die. Buy a gun in case they attack you. Spend as much time as pissible going out irl so u can live a good life and not let these people make you a social prisoner.

[-] bobs_guns@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 year ago

I am about to spend all of my time going out irl as I am having a very difficult time finding a job.

[-] toomanyjoints69@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Baroness Helena Morrissey is a member of the House of Lords. She has worked in financial services for more than 30 years.

Yeah, this person seems normal and trustworthy.

I feel tricked ibto reading thst. It just lists a bunch of problems and offers no solution but "be better and no sociakism allowed."

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 18 points 1 year ago

The admission that people are rejecting capitalism is really the only interesting part of the whole thing, the rest is just capitalist dogma being regurgitated.

Although, the fact that they don't really nave any solutions is itself an indication that the system is headed for collapse.

Article written by Baroness Helena Morrissey. Best comment by Lord Buckethead. Britain is a strange place…

Let me guess, their answer is more insistence that capitalism is perfection incarnate? Just pulling a Biden and saying "things are good, you're just too stupid to figure it out, rube!"

At least Andrew Yang's message was "I'm a capitalist, but socialists have reasons why they believe what they do. I want to prove them wrong."

[-] Buchenstr@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 1 year ago

Perhaps we'll see this dogshit system buried in the dust in the future? I hope it'll come soon.

[-] Shrike502@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 1 year ago

What about worldwide capitalism

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 1 year ago

I expect that once western system crumbles then capitalism will be seen as a discredited system around the world. Most countries are already starting to question the merits of the western style system, and that trend will only increase going forward. Meanwhile, China shows a clear viable alternative that more and more countries are likely to emulate.

It's filled with lies and they're not even new ones. Describing the last 20 years of deliberate economic and political destruction as just "something that kinna happened lol who knows" is the same dreck i see trotted out by the ruling classless every time there's an admission that something is wrong. only got about 3 paragraphs in before i realized ive already read everything they could possibly have to say a dozen times before.

Pretending that nobody knows what happened is essential to the narrative. The whole argument is that this is the best system possible, and whatever problems it has are completely unavoidable.

If it's the case that we do know what the problems are and how these problems could've been avoided that implies that a better system is in fact possible, and we know exactly what needs changing.
