I'm not that big into fan fiction, but I adore AO3 for it's old web design sense, and extensive tagging system.
It's a good website, folks!
haha i spent my teen years writing political erotica on there! good times, good times.
You can't just say that without giving us the ship!
would you believe me if i said i wrote erotica about engels writing love letters to marx as striner? lol the whole thing was based on stirner not actually being real and just an alter ego engels used to fuck with marx

These are all very interesting. I love that aesthetics index.
That is a good one, yeah. To anyone checking that one out, I'd recommend reading the short FAQ. Excerpt:
CARI defines a consumer aesthetic as a visual movement unified by overarching attitudes and themes that survived long enough or became popular enough to be appropriated by capital (a bar that is being lowered constantly as our cycles of cultural propagation accelerate).
Universal Paperclips. Go in blind.
What an amazing fuckin game.
one of my favorite games.. it blows my mind how much went into that
I hear you can do anything at zombo.com
Well, they certainly are welcoming.
Oh yeah, there are a metric fuck ton of cool and fun websites.
One of my favorite is Floor 796 — https://floor796.com/ — it's a... mosaic? I dunno. There's a word for what it is. An image with tons of references to other things just packed in. Things are being added all the time, and they have a changelog. This is better opened on a device with a big screen, like a tablet or a computer.
Then there's the Neal.fun website — https://neal.fun/ — which has a ton of things to do.
So that's a start!
P.S. Oh yeah, this too — https://www.dearnextvisitor.com/
wow floor796 is incredible
The internet archive has a whole bunch interesting stuff to go through. It's even got a whole bunch of flash games you could download and play using Ruffle. Loads of other junk too.
RSS reader with a bunch of blogs.
There was a list of websites that Meta was scraping for AI (it included Lemmy instances like us, it was posted a while ago), it's mostly all niche real human websites, so just start opening up random links.
If you’re into music and coding, strudel.cc is awesome. I’ve been watching Switch Angel shorts on YouTube and treating them like tutorials since you can just copy her code and make the same music she’s making. But you can also just look at the tutorials or the reference songs and then mess around.
Ooh this looks cool
Yeah this is getting a bookmark I'll never look at again . Good post

I play a game called chicken smoothie, you basically just collect pets and there’s events. Lots of collecting and trading, tons of different artists so all the pets are unique, etc.
Nope, it’d probably be best if we all just abandoned it. ;)
I read a lot of serial web fiction on https://royalroad.com/ and (to a lesser degree) https://scribblehub.com/
Does Wisel Wisel count as "social media?" Like the internet of yore, it has some chuckle-worthy stuff...
