No reason to exclude people, lots of reasons to not give them unilateral vetoes though. Or to not recognize illegitimate states beyond the people they supposedly represent. Hmm.

Correcting the U.S. superiority complex by making them play by the same rules as everyone else seems wildly appropriate to me. And also doesn't cater to any persecution fantasies.
Or Russia, or China, or the UK given its current trajectory.

Sadly it's the rules of the game. 5 permanent members have the veto rights and US has been the protector of Israel for decades

Last time their argument was that if we just hold out, their peace negotiation through Qatar was going to be longer lasting and better for both parties, and that any other agreement was adding unnecessary friction.
Then it turned out, predictably, that that process was a trap to assassinate the negotiators.
