Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

I love bourbon. I genuinely believe that bourbon is one of a very tiny handful of food and beverage items that can be viewed as "world class cuisine" from the USA.

I will miss bourbon, now that I will never touch it again.

Do brands like Jim Beam, which are manufactured in the U.S., but are actually wholly owned by Suntory Japan, count? I’m not meaning to troll, I really do wonder what people think. I live in Japan and enjoy Jim Beam (but not fascism) and I actually assumed incorrectly that it was produced here, as since it was acquired by Suntory, the price had significantly dropped.

Where is it made? That's the key question.

So yes, it applies to Jim Beam.

It cannot be bourbon unless it’s made in whatever area of the US. Just like it cannot be called champagne unless it’s made in Champagne France. Just like it cannot be called parmesan unless it’s made in a specific area in Italy.

Sure there are nock offices but I am sure the bourbon people will be a little more strict with others making and hammering it bourbon.

It's almost like tariffs are a bad thing. But Sweet Potato Hitler can't be wrong, can he? He's the smartest man on the planet, according to the people who lick his diaper clean.
