I may be out of touch but paying high price for a remake and for it to have dlc on top of that is stupid to me.

The price is insane.
I rarely get games on launch, but you can often get these at a discount on sites like Fanatical months before release. They definitely had the deluxe edition like 20% off months ago to pre-order.

Sounds petty, but... yeah, important distinction. You don't actually own any game on Steam. They even have to explicitly make that clear at checkout now.
Still have my PS2 original and the PS3 HD version, I'm good thanks.
