We see what Apple is doing and love it! So we will do the same.

Because Apple is doing it first, they aren't evil, but when Google does, they're evil. Hopefully developers will start understanding that Apple is just as evillas Google and treat them the same.

People believed Apple wasn't evil?

Apple is like that poisoned apple given to Snow White: it looks amazing, but send you to a world of dreams and keep you there. Many people have fallen victim to the gloss and marketing. In their world / Apple's dream world, Apple can do no harm and never will.

The EU recently forced Apple to accept alternative app stores, as well as to allow side-loading. Here's to hoping Google can't enforce this new bullshit in Europe at the very least.

The EU is signing a deal with US to reduce tariffs. Fucking weak sauce. I don't know if they'll have the balls to go through with a proper fine against Apple and Google.

I hope they do, but given how they are bending over for Trump... I gave little faith.

I know, the tariff deal is such a weak move... It's literally bending over for no reason.

As for proper fines, I believe the EU is the only place where the mega-corps actually got burned due to % of global income sanctions and fines.

It’s literally bending over for no reason.

The reason is always money. Cui bono? Obviously minority big capital stands to gain, and they have political leverage through their lapdogs. Capitalism is a cancer on society, it's incompatible with democracy and rule of law, it will always do what is expedient for profit over any other or ethical considerations.
