Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

Excellent form, take notes

Low center, wide stance, come in head down at gut level and lift. Ya love to see it in the wild.

the only other links I found were reddit, and they had all been deleted for violating reddit rules. can't have people celebrating cops getting their asses kicked. I imagine it's somewhere on youtube, but there was weeks of protests so there's many hours of video from them.

honestly I'm shocked the facebook one stayed up, they're not any better than reddit for censoring protests. especially since this was filmed several years ago, it's a wonder the video didn't get zucked.

this just works if the guy with the stick doesn't hit the other guy on the head with it, which the stick guys will learn to do next time from this

[–] kautau@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

sadly I'm guessing after this there were many other stick guys and while he managed to tank the first guy his stats / armor weren't high enough to fight off the horde

he managed to fight this cop and one more, and throw this cop to the ground again before running off.

the cop picked himself back up, and got thrown to the ground again.

Sadly, the police officer got back up.

[–] _cryptagion@anarchist.nexus 14 points 2 weeks ago

yeah, and got thrown back down to the ground in almost the same fashion. and to top it off, the protestor was not caught.

Anyone have a link to the video? All I’m able to dig up is that dude throwing a can at some cops and getting spear-tackled by a bootlicker.

[–] _cryptagion@anarchist.nexus 3 points 2 weeks ago

I don't have a link to this angle, but here's a link to an angle where the camera is closer and on the other side

Do they teach them nothing? Cop doesn't even try to sprawl.

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If thry could learn, they wouldn't be cops.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 26 points 2 weeks ago

that's offensive. and if those cops could read, they'd be very upset.

[–] _cryptagion@anarchist.nexus 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

the video of this is even better. the cop gets back up and proceeds to be thrown to the ground again before the protestor runs off.

damn we gotta see more of this

[–] iridebikes@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That cop probably fractured his tailbone on that tackle dayum

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Its tailbone. Objects aren't typically gendered in english.

[–] Cort@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

But the person the object belongs to is generally gendered. 'His' is a possessive pronoun in this instance

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Cops aren't people. They're objects, tools if you want to be specific.

[–] iridebikes@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I can't believe you ratioed me with this nonsense.

If a bat is coming towards you, ducking might not be the best approach...

[–] _cryptagion@anarchist.nexus 6 points 2 weeks ago (57 children)

moving away is exactly the best approach, as it lessens the force of the impact. not to mention they are wearing a backpack, which might be able to fully absorb the impact of a baton depending on the contents.
