Until Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 23:59 UTC, a Shiny Chien-Pao with Ice as its Tera Type will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. During this event, Trainers worldwide can unite against this Ruinous Pokémon for a chance to add it to their teams.

Unlike standard Tera Raid Battles, Shiny Chien-Pao cannot be caught upon being defeated. Instead, if the total number of player victories against this Pokémon collectively meets or exceeds one million during its event period, Shiny Chien-Pao will subsequently be available to claim via Mystery Gift during its distribution period.

For every one hundred thousand player victories collectively exceeding one million against this Pokémon, a Tera Shard Set—each containing 40 Tera Shards—will also be distributed (up to a maximum of 10 sets total). Work together with Trainers around the world to challenge the treasures of ruin and welcome them as allies!

~The final total of player victories against this Pokémon is scheduled to be announced at approximately 00:00 UTC on the Friday following the conclusion of this Tera Raid Battle event.~

~The Shiny Chien-Pao appearing during this event may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.~

Questions regarding these.

if the total number of player victories against this Pokémon

Does a multiplayer battle count as one victory or 4? I play solo anyway, but I was going to jump on and help people if they needed it. I don't know what the victory numbers look like so is it worth it for me to try to rack up wins? Or are we hitting the goal easily anyway and it's more useful for me to help people struggling so that they can get a prize?

Last event there were 3.5 million victories according to Serebii.I do not know if people will become bored or complacent with this round or not. I always do the tera raid battles with an online group, which should count as 4 victories.

Dead easy with Ceruledge. Swords Dance, then spam Bitter Blade. Next time I won't even bother with SD, he acted 3 times to my first turn and got his shield up before I could even attack, safer just to attack earlier to Terastalize ASAP so that Crunch isn't a threat. With Fire Tera he has no super-effective moves, add BB draining HP and you're completely safe.

I have been seeing a LOT of Iron Hands holding Booster Energy.

I was KO'd with Iron Moth for the first time today, I used Sunny Day when I meant to use Morning Sun. We still eeked out a win though.

I have been luck using the Iron Moth build from the previous raid, but starting with Sunny Day, using Morning Sun as needed, and only Fiery Dance for damage.

I ended up using my Iron Moth for the last one too, it was harder than I expected for only 5 stars.
