Just came across this video. I've never heard of him before, but he seems to focus on facts, which I always appreciate. May showed some promising results in the import/export front for Canada. Hopefully the trends continue.

ai sez:

Trade Diversification

Canada's exports to non-US countries reached a record high in January 2025, demonstrating successful trade diversification efforts.

Despite a 16% drop in US exports since tariff imposition, Canada has pivoted to other markets, significantly increasing exports to Japan, Germany, UK, South Korea, Netherlands, and Italy.

Economic Resilience

Canada's merchandise exports rose 1.1% in May 2025, with the trade deficit narrowing despite US exports being at their lowest since the pandemic.

Imports from the US have decreased significantly as Canadians opt to buy domestic products instead of supporting a perceived hostile economy.

Diplomatic Efforts

Canada's Prime Minister has been actively reigniting relationships with India and China while building new connections with potential trading partners globally.

Trade Patterns

Both exports and imports with non-US countries have been steadily increasing, reflecting Canada's formation of new trade alliances and supply routes with global partners.
