Good morning, fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT, 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

Splurged on two bottles of bubbly from Italy. Sparkling water is such a nice treat. I will not be drinking alcohol with you today!

lol I drink so much seltzer that I need to buy the cheap stuff from Acme. I’m considering buying a kegerator just to make my own bubbly water.

Celebrating 2 years today. Still not easy, still craving it from times to times (at least once a day) but holding. 2 years!

Hang on there!

wow congrats that's huge. very well done, have u been to an AA meeting? the steps truly removed the mental obsession for me, and I spose hundreds of thousands of others :p keep up the brilliant work

No AA no! Local rehab clinic, regular meeting with a specialised nurse. Helped define my needs, how to cope, how to change habits.

double well done, I've been thru that maybe 15 times plenty of different rehabs and nothing stuck. the big book of AA spoke to me in a way no human could, it's probably aimed at more hopeless suicidal alcoholics but covers the full range. honestly I do not think about alcohol anymore, total acceptance/surrender that it's not for me. the god stuff scared me outta the rooms but the booze sent me back in. well keep up the good work friend, best wishes and best of luck 🤜🤛
