I gave up trying to buy Tesla puts. Their valuation perpetually defies all logic. Even after this news their stock is still higher than it was a month ago.

You can't short a cult.

I bet the stock somehow goes up due to this news

Epic bacon must be worth at least 10 billion market cap.

tesla is pretty much just a meme stock now considering its only owned by sycophants

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's down 8% ($27) as of right now.

Yea, and tomorrow Musk announces the imminent go live of his robot sales, predicts several million will be sold in a matter of months and the stock will bounce back up 10%.

Even if I was still an active investor I would not bet against Tesla. Musk has proven a master in stock manipulation.

They opened a restaurant yesterday. At 4:20 pm.

Yeah, a tesla restaurant. That's the current distraction.

Tesla aren't too big to fail.

Unlike GM or Ford, Tesla is tiny. Only their market cap is big, and that's all based on thoughts and prayers not fundamentals.

You’re expecting government to act the same as in the past.

Considering their fallout I don’t think Trump would be all too happy to approve a bailout for

[–] herseycokguzelolacak@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Not anymore. Elon and Trump are no longer bffs...

Billionaires and politicians can magically bond together after years of mud slinging.

Look how quickly the tech bros like Bill Gates and Tim Apple allied with Trump after being hardcore DNC loyalists for so many years. And they'll switch back just as far.

The DOD just paid Elon a bunch of money for his mechahitler chat bot...

[–] herseycokguzelolacak@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 week ago

It's peanuts for DoD and Elon. Probably it was agreed on before their breakup.

Their point is musk is still getting those sweet government deals. So his falling out with Trump didn’t fully end his access to the government grift money.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Different goals. Elon's probably more willing to make uh an unethical ai. Private company. When it comes to Tesla, no real reason it can't fail.

[–] Wazowski@lemmy.world -1 points 1 week ago

No way the orange traitor cunt will bail out musk.

[–] Admetus@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 week ago

Oh no!

Anyway...

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Does Elon not see?
