This is dumb as fuck.

People have been caught having affairs in public since literally as long as humans have existed. People have been caught having affairs on jumbotrons since jumbotrons existed.

This has literally nothing to do with a surveillance state and everything to do with drunk people being sloppy bitches.

It has to do with cameras becoming present everywhere and people using them without knowing where the data goes.

If no one was trying to gather that kind of data, things would be very different.

No, it doesn't. The literal exact same thing happens when people use their eyes in public.

I can't take your eyes out and make a copy to show what you saw halfway around the world

Anti Commercial-AI license

You can literally just write me a letter saying what you saw.

For instance, Napoleon found out about Josephine cheating on him while he was away on campaign, 20 years before cameras were invented and 220 years before AI was.

Again, this is a dumb article. It's dumb when companies cram AI into spaces where it doesn't belong and it's dumb when authors cram AI into conversations that have nothing to do with it.

While we are building a surveillance state....

....it was put up on the Jumbotron.

This would have made waves on the internet before cell phones, it may have even ended up on a clip show.
