This is not a surprise, I recall decades ago they predicted 'intensification of the hydrological cycle'. India needs to store much more water across seasons, especially to replace the seasonal himalayan snow and glacier melt.

Yeah India needs to do a lot of things sadly it’s a developing country with an insanely corrupt bourgeoise, so what’s probably going to happen is people are just going to be worked to death in the heat and have their property destroyed in the floods while the rich look on from their private skyscrapers.
