I've seen two separate videos posted about 30 times all over the internet. There was one where a cop shot a woman point blank with the "less than" lethal round and she went limp and unconscious. I've been trying to find more information on it because I'm extremely worried for her. She was just trying to get out of the road and got trampled by horses like that other guy and you can see one of the cops quickly point his gun at her and shoot her in the head from 2 feet away.

That's what the article is about.

This is the only news coverage I've seen of it, and most of America doesn't even seem to know about it

The one conservative I've spoken to since this started literally played the "oh that's probably some fake AI video" card any time I mentioned the cops doing the violence...

This has been the real danger of AI video all along: not that it’s actually convincing, but that people think it could be convincing. The first step to rejecting the evidence of your eyes and ears.

I went to Newsweeks front page and it wasn't anywhere to be found. Also not on the US News front page.

Found it by searching the headline: https://www.newsweek.com/la-riot-police-shoot-protester-head-rubber-bullet-2082794

There is only so much a human mind can keep up with. Been online almost all day, hadn't seen this yet.

I know, I didn't mean people weren't paying attention to the news. It kinda seems like it's intentionally not being mentioned. It happened yesterday.

There's A LOT going on these past two days

They shouldn't be allowed to use less than lethal rounds. I'd prefer no armed police, but the less than lethal aspect especially makes them emboldened to shoot without any consideration. What goes through someone's head when they shoot a person who made the mistake of falling down? "easy target"?

That woman might be lucky if she survives, and without brain damage, and it really turns my stomach that they didn't have the decency to call for an ambulance

People should go learn about Kent State as an example. Then learn about the myriad of other cases through our history. It's always been like this.

I've made the Kent state comparison before

I think most of the boomer age range Trump supporters (at least the ones in my family) are aware of Kent state and don't have a favorable view towards what happened there. That's why it's important that they know this is happening, but for some reason it's barely gotten any coverage
