Wait, I feel like I missed something important. Hannah Montana Linux?

Edit: It's real. It's really real.

There's also PonyOS (https://www.ponyos.org/) They wrote their own kernel, so it's not Linux, but it is Unix-like.

[-] Blamemeta@lemm.ee 38 points 1 year ago

I love the reviews.

[-] reev@sh.itjust.works 33 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Own kernel... That's honestly just impressive.

As a 3-year user of Hannah Montana Linux, I approve this post.

[-] dQw4w9WgXcQ@lemm.ee 21 points 1 year ago

That's impressive. I didn't start using linux until my late 20's

[-] BrownianMotion@lemmy.world 62 points 1 year ago
[-] mojo@lemm.ee 17 points 1 year ago

Why would they suggest Kali as a distro lol

[-] BrownianMotion@lemmy.world 27 points 1 year ago

I guess this flowchart selects Kali intelligently!

the "do you fear technology" doesnt make sense. it should be "dont understand technology" or something.

[-] BrownianMotion@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

sheesh, I didn't make the meme. Tell your story walking.

[-] darcy@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

ok. just saying

[-] zerotime@feddit.de 7 points 1 year ago

It would be great if there was an icon of a BSD-distribution under the category "Do have a life?" - "No".

I should try HM linux and Uwuntu

[-] CentreForAnts@aussie.zone 17 points 1 year ago

They say if you install Hannah Montana Linux and Windows 11 as a dual boot. You get the best of both worlds...

Our company has shifted from Redhat to Hanna Montana boxes and it really jazzed our network up.

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

There's a Hannah Montana Linux? Don't tease me, now.

[-] Chiivo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Okay, I'm really unsure here. What if I fear tech, my daddy is poor and I don't have a life?

[-] raubarno@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 year ago
[-] PipedLinkBot@feddit.rocks 6 points 1 year ago

Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

"Weird distro, still better than Windows"

Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.

I'm open-source; check me out at GitHub.

[-] ODuffer@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

I use Arch btw

[-] Ser_Salty@feddit.de 7 points 1 year ago

Don't forget to Install Doom/Doom on your Hannah Montana Linux

[-] Draegur@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

wow you're right, this has completely discouraged me from ever trying linux.

[-] pmk@lemmy.sdf.org 33 points 1 year ago

Me too, I'll stick with good old HannahMontanaBSD.

[-] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 25 points 1 year ago

And within minutes it was forked to:

FreeHannahMontanaBSD and OpenHannahMontanaBSD
