In my neighbourhood there’s a small flock of feral peahens running around. One of them integrated herself into my chicken flock and spends the day with them, protecting them, then flies up into the trees to roost at night.

How do I add pictures? Imgur?

[-] x4740N@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah but you need an account now since imgur went account only

In Liftoff, the Lemmy app I use, you can easily add a picture when writing the post/comment, which will then be hosted on the instance. It's probably the same for other Lemmy apps. The websites I'm not sure about, since every instance can have multiple web frontends.

I know I'm replying to a month-old post, but I hope you'll figure out a solution, since we very much still need to see this.

Also, if at all possible, please include some proof of those super creamy eels?!

Thank you very much!

Example - it works:

Before I left Austin, I would shop at the Nuclear War Now shop often. The folks across from the warehouse had a ton of peacocks, and the first time I saw them it caught me entirely off guard.

Escaped pets mostly but some belong to zoos and are tagged and wander around.

We also have a population of parrots in London that are descended from escaped pets too.

In my hometown of Dunfermline they have (or had) 3 or 4 peacocks living in Pittencrief Park, who regularly wander(ed) up and in the town high street.

Not sure if they're still there though, as they kept getting hit by cars :-(

Yeah, I've seen them, haven't seen wild peacocks before.

Yeah just in some park

There's one that seems to basically live in a pub car park near us. It keeps its distance from people most of the time, but there's always a hairy moment when it's in between you and the entrance and you're never quite sure if today's the day it decides to get brazen.
