Smiths thin & crispy chips - sour cream and chives flavour - my intellect knows that this is not a proper meal, but my stomach begs leave to differ. Maybe the glass of wine has impaired my stomach's judgment.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 points 10 hours ago

That glass has done nothing wrong nod nod

I have landed in the Soup. Say what you will about this place, you gotta give kudos to Changi airport - 15 minutes from deplaning to cab. Was expecting to wait for my bags - nope, merrily halfway down the conveyor belt along with its fellow passengers. And I got to use the completely passportless lane for citizens/residents.. it's almost freakishly fast (like 2 seconds total kind of fast). A good reminder of how biometrics are harder to hack than a passport. They probably have every inch of my face mapped out.

Anyway, can't wait to have a big sumptuous dinner and then crash early. I finished the last 5% of Overstory on the plane and got all riled up about what my life has become. Then I reread Howl's Moving Castle because I had it on my Kindle. Now I feel less cynical.

I had to pack A LOT into that short week, somehow it felt more stressful. Time to relax. Rushed to Dans before they closed to buy a bottle of scotch to enjoy over ice tonight.

Enjoy mate! I'll be boozing tomorrow.

This is a nice night.

If it rains tomorrow that'd be amazing.

Goodnight all โค๏ธ

I thought of a fun idea for the trip back: girlfriend takes the train up to Shepparton, we meet her there when we get there, do the handover and the boys can take the train to Donnybrook where I'll meet up with them to finish the trip back.

They get to see mum again, ride a train, and they're not strapped down for the last leg of the ride

I'm failing to taste any chocolate from my Cadbury Crunchy Chocolate Easter Bunny. It's taken me two goes at eating his ears and all I taste is sugar. I don't think it's me.

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 6 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Careful now. With 2 partial ears it might be able to still hear you. Try the feet next so it won't chase you.

But yea cadbury has gone downhill for a while now :(

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 13 hours ago

The ears are completely gone. I'll suck his face off next while being disgusted with myself.

[โ€“] TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 2 points 12 hours ago (3 children)

Easter choc of any sort is a built-in disappointment. Tinfoil is no substitute for flavour. Gave up on it years back. Have never regretted it. Wait a couple of weeks and get yourself some of the good stuff and enjoy!

Whittaker's chocolate had a chokehold on me this week.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Whittaker's peanut butter block is my fav.

[โ€“] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 11 hours ago

You can't go wrong with any of them.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 2 points 10 hours ago

[โ€“] bacon@aussie.zone 9 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

i am really looking forward to tomorrow when i get to clean and declutter while listening to the rain but knowing melbourne there'll probably be just two drops

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Good luck, bacon!

My wardrobe looks immaculate but the rest of the house now looks like a bomb site.

Some friends say hi

Anyone living a bit more rural?

I have a bottle of wolf urine previously acquired to deal with a fox issue at the old place. I do not have a fox issue at the new place and consequently I do not need a bottle of wolf urine at new place. I do not want a bottle of wolf urine at new place, which has all its storage in the basement.

Please come take my wolf urine ๐Ÿ™

[โ€“] underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 9 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

How exactly does the wolf urine get in the bottle? That would not be a fun job.

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 9 points 18 hours ago

First you have to catcha the wolf

Then you have to patta the wolf

I'm not sure about the bottle part

And then you have to getta yourself to the ED.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 6 points 17 hours ago

Funnel yadda yadda yadda bottled wolf piss.

I am in need of a possum deterrent, but also do not want a bottle of wolf urine. The down sides of such a substance massively outweigh the possibility it might work.
