every big change for the better in society was built by people.

we created the mess, we can change it. its not like we wanna change the laws of physics.

The reason to be depressed about the future is that its possible to change it, but if you try to do so in any meaningful way, you will go to prison.

Plenty of people who are doing something aren't going to prison, it just depends on how you define "meaningful".

Yeah thats true, i meant meaningful in a longterm, preventing mass death events due to wars, genocide, climate collapse kinda way.

You can do tiny things for those, but if you actually try to actively intervene in them directly on a large scale, you wont be free for long.
