I'm imagining them just throwing a bunch of fish onto some sand dunes.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.
A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

This video just reminded me of the optimism I used to have for the future and advancement of technology. China is literally making their barren regions into fertile lands.
Wtf is America doing? We can't even provide clean water to everyone in this country, let alone improve the impoverished and barren lands. I can't even imagine America taking on a project like this. Insanity.
The USA is a land of cultivated abundance that we're paving over to build expensive condos for people who can't afford them
So fucking true
China is literally making their barren regions into fertile lands.
china is genociding the white soil and making it brown*
That's what I've been thinking, that the future we were told would arrive is in fact arriving in china
This is AI slop. The script is the sort of incoherent rambling an LLM would produce; the topic is like some amalgamation of popular youtube clickbait topics; the video clips, at least in part, are obviously AI generated; and the dude probably hides his mouth because otherwise, it would be super obvious that it's actually an AI voice talking.
I watched this originally a bit groggy and it almost felt like I was having a psychotic break. This should have a CW for possibly inducing existential angst about being the only conscious human being in existence, and the comments here aren't helping. I'm starting to think that hexbear is an elaborate AI-fueled prank at my expense.
Kind of wild, I would guess that this has a large impact on local ecology. Hopefully that is being considered and not only production metrics
The gist is - They've effectively built a bunch of large-scale fisheries. Pretty neat.
Well in some cases they released fish into lakes that weren't there before.
the interesting part is that they're utilizing extremely saline desert water that otherwise is pretty biologically inert, without human intervention
Dude sounds like penn jillette
I can't tell if it's AI voice or not. This video is very strange
I suspect that some China produced content uses AI voice to mask poor English pronunciation and prevent it from affecting the reach of their content.
Yeah maybe that's why they use the mask. They can just put any language over it
They've definitely used text-to-speech audio before, and I remember last year there was a "scandal" about them "using AI for propaganda!" which was literally just about them using newer text-to-speech programs.
As if the cia isn't doing the same in other languages.
Dudes wearing a mask, brah just do audio.
The video is unnecesarily long with too much filler and he being the filler doesn't help
Dry fish?
Oh, like in facilities
hell no
