Millions died of a preventable disease, and somehow this wasn't the worst thing that happened.

I think this one wins the thread
"When you've hit bottom, the only way to go is up," I begged of the universe as we continued digging.
Disease gripped the world and it was downhill from there.
No man, I'm pretty fuckin' far from okay.
Shit, but I prefer this to the hell that was the 2000s/2010s.
Really? How? Am genuinely surprised 😮
2000-2010's was just constant wars in the region (war on terror, civil wars, failed revolutions, genocides [ongoing]), and the government was much more oppressive. The religious police has become much weaker than before, and that's a good thing. The current ruler is still an evil, ultraconservative man.
The country's still in the shitter, it was just better than what we had before. (If need be, i'm not from the US)
Edit: I still prefer games from those times tho. Most modern games are shit :(
I see your point. Inclusivity is dramatically better.

Yeah, everything about the world seems to be going to hell, but somehow my life has gotten better. During good times my life seems to suck, I don't know why. And now it's the opposite. It's been like this since 2003.
I don't think there's any causality to it? It's just been a recurring theme for me that my quality of life seems to be inverse proportional to how humanity is doing in general.
"Pretty good despite it all."
That sort of sums up Norway as a whole, doesn't it? Canada too, I suppose.
Like the 1920s but with transistors.
Enshittification is all about DEI.
