Whats the reason for needing the same audio via spdif and analog, but with knob inverting volume?
game/chat mix so i don't have to keep alt tabbing out and adjusting volume
Hmm, you might have some luck with Jack Audio. i haven't tried it myself for this but it has lots of config options to pass audio around
OKAY after some frustration, i think i figured it out. this command saved me
pactl load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:2,1
hw:2
being the device id or something when i use pactl list cards
now to figure out how to change the name
Do you require a fixed config file or would a patchbay like Catia or qpwgraph suffice?
whatever works.
In that case just use qpwgraph and wire the outputs to both the stereo and s/pdif outputs.
If either of the outputs is not available then the driver doesn't support them, which is not uncommon for Creative devices, to put it mildly.
Linux
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
