What are they arguing here?

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think they want to argue that all the zero g footage was faked by shooting underwater? Despite the fact this is a training tank.

That makes sense. Are we sure it's not 5G footage faked by shooting vaccines?

Is this what we're doing here?:

[–] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Does it? Sometimes, a picture does not say it all.

[–] yarr@feddit.nl 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

According to the caption, this is one that says it all.

The caption says a picture, and not necessarily this one, only sometimes says it all. What if this isn't one of those pictures? What if this is one of those times the picture doesn't say it all?

Actually, the Heidelberg school of though takes a very literal approach here. There would be one and only one picture that says it all. Given the high number of different pictures ( >5 ), it is highly unlikely that this specific picture says it all. On the contrary, we must accept that the picture doesn't say it all, at all.

Lemmy: Come for the absurdity. Stay for the philosophy.

I love your comment so much.

Another thing: we see a camera operator on the right of the picture and yet we get this picture of the scene with an angle that doesn't correspond at all to the camera in the picture [insert incomprehensible drawing of scene and cameras].

This is impossible to explain if the picture was actually taken on the moon. Actually I can't quite explain it on Earth either.

Also there are fish on the moon????
