Florida drivers are the worst

I really want to see how this study was conducted but they have no link

I don't trust any article that doesn't link a source. What is described in the article is already suspicious enough regarding methods

I think colorado is number 4 due to all the Texans and Californians that flooded the state. They put up a death counter on the highway signs and most years when I lived there it averaged more than a death a day on highways.

Big state, lots of miles, lots of traffic, very flat with long straight aways, makes sense.

I was in San Antonio for vacation. Within the hour, I was watching Texans drive every vehicle imaginable across dirt and grass partitions that separated the highway from frontage roads. And I dont mean a few drivers, I mean I watched multiple drivers, all down the highway. Like nonstop. Its rarer to not see drivers doing it.

The most odd bit was that it wasnt even rush hour, there really wasnt any traffic on the road

Instead of a study, can't they just count the state with the most BMW drivers ?

I'm calling bullshit. Of the four states I've lived in, Texas easily had the best drivers. It's one of the few things they do right.

Maryland and California drivers are absolutely terrible.

I've lived all over this country. This is my unofficial rankings for asshole drivers:

  1. Tennessee
  2. Florida
  3. Kentucky
  4. Texas
  5. Indiana
  6. Nevada
  7. Mississippi
  8. West Virginia
  9. California
  10. Arkansas

No really. Fuck Tennessee drivers.

Yeah, I bet it’s really Arizona or Georgia.

Uh, Massachusetts exists. Incredibly nice people I met there. But somehow also incredibly terrible, aggressive drivers...

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Have you tried driving in Texas? I’m surprised it’s not number one.

I drove in Dallas once and it was like a scene from Mad Max

[–] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 2 points 7 hours ago

I grew up there and learned to drive there. I'm convinced it's actually why I'm a good driver. I didn't have a choice. Either git gud or die.

After having driven through the I40 spaghetti junction at Dallas, I understand. Never again.
