What are the protocols/powers involved in declaring something a national emergency? Like what decision power does the president gain in that scenario?
EDIT: This site seems to cover a lot of the benefits gained and what protections are in place to limit overreach, but given the current state of affairs I canβt imagine why Congress would reign in the abuse.
