A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

On PC and Steamdeck Binding of Isaac and Brotato mostly, my most played comfort games. Looking to get started with Lonestar soon.
On mobile I got back into Shattered Pixel Dungeon. I've been paying classic roguelikes for a very long time. Never gotten very good at them but I still enjoy every run and inevitable death.
I started Yakuza 0 on my PC and Excavation of Hob's Barrow on my deck.
Yakuza side missions are fun but the combat feels too repetitive. Maybe it gets better once you unlock more skills but I doubt it.
Finished a marathon of GoW and Ragnarok, I want more.
I planned to play Disgaea 7 or refantazio but I honestly just want more Kratos. Sindri ending is too much of a cliffhanger
Helldivers 2
Ghostrunner. Fast paced cyberpunk ninja action platformer. First game in like 20 years that makes me do those exaggerated "gamer moves" in my seat lol. like moving my head when dodging, wringling and gasping, haha. Ya'll might already have it since it was given away on epic games.
Works fine on Linux through Heroic launcher btw.
The only problem I had is that save files were in the wrong folder the first time I launched the game, so my progress was lost on second launch. But the files were there, I just had to copy them from save game folder to the other folder with user ID and now it works fine every time. I still don't know why that happened.
I love that game. Haven’t finished it yet. Might go back to play it soon
Dragon Age Inquisition. It's fuuun.
Don't get stuck in the hinterlands. Leave as soon as the game lets you. I came back to DAI recently after putting it down on my initial play through because I was being completionist in the hinterlands and that area is massive and full of dull quests.
Got sucked into the solo leveling gacha game. I haven't played a gacha game since the one I played in high school got shut down, but it's pretty fun and seems like it's f2p friendly. We'll see how long I stick with it for
I've scalded my hand so I play telltales batman from 2017. Wte are easy to do with only 9ne hand on controller
Recently picked up both Silent Hill 2, and Resident Evil 4 (both for the PS2); and having never played either, I’m excited!
I'm still meaning to try any of the silent hill games, but I've played both the original RE4 and the new remake multiple times each. I think they're both fantastic.
I’ve only ever played the first three Resident Evils (and only completed Director’s Cut & 2!); having a lot of fun going back and playing through all of the experiences I missed growing up.
Ive recently picked up Bully for the ps2. Only about 5% in but finding it entertaining. Reskinned ps2-era gta with the same kind of humor. Still have neverwinter nights on the pc but not picked that up in a couple of weeks because i died on a boss and i dont like to die (im not patient in that sense). But also liked that and will try to play some more this week end.
Bully is absolutely brilliant, and largely as slept on compared to its GTA brethren.
You can also check out Red Dead Revolver, Manhunt and The Warriors to experience the rest of what amounted to Rockstar experimenting with various gameplay mechanics before implementing them into the GTA-series proper.
Orcs Must Die: Deathtrap, both single and multiplayer. Super fun extension to the series.
And Noita, when I just want a short game session. It's fun, in its own roguelike way.
ALIEN ISOLATION (2014) Still scaring the crap out of me. The androids are nasty.
That game is soo good. Scary as hell I agree. I love the motion tracker, boop.... boop... Boop. Boop boop boop. Then suddenly there's an alien tail sticking out your chest. Great at building tension. I found it easiest to just crouch walk most of the time and to keep the alien in sight and stay behind it.

I still can't focus and I'm still jumping between games but I do have some updates so might as well post about it.
The Sims 2 and Euro Truck Simulator 2 kept their place as my primary games, with the latter edging a little bit in terms of playtime. Not much changed here.
Speaking of TS2, I tried playing it on a Steam Deck. Game runs fine, sans some short freezes when browsing through large content lists (clothes, furniture etc.) which is about what I expected from the game.
The big problem for me is controls. I tried playing around with mapping and whatnot but I just couldn't make it comfortable enough to play for longer periods of time. Because of this I'll just treat it as a failed experiment and stick to playing on my desktop.
As for new additions, I played through Umurangi Generation. It's a small indie title about photography in a "shitty future". It's a really janky yet entertaining title, with some pretty emotional moments (at least for me). I've written a longer post with my thoughts about the game if anyone wants to know more.
The last one technically counts as it released on mobile last year even though I tried out the PC demo.
Wagotabi: A Japanese Journey - is an educational RPG about learning Japanese. It's cute, fun to play and seems to have an interesting (and enjoyable) approach to learning. Only demo is available on PC at the moment but it I definitely liked what I played so far. It can be found on both Itch.io and Steam.
