Chucky ain't my thing but for fans, that certainly looks impressive. I'm guessing they don't know where the camera negs are for the original film. I wonder how good a HD copy from 2012 looks?

It's certainly impressive though.

I hope it's not a licensing thing and someone else is putting out the 4k.

It's a licensing issue from what I've read. Shout Factory already has released it in 4k. MGM has the license to the first one while the rest are by another studio.
