Oooh, I love these! For any horror book lovers out there, the podcast Books in the Freezer does episodes like this sometimes and they are super fun places to mine for recs :)

Edit after reading through the list: I feel like the only person in the world who didn't like The Fifth Season. Something about NK Jemisin's writing style just doesn't do it for me, even though the premise is really cool.
