Before I jump down a big rabbit hole to try and figure out how to make a custom feed, I thought I may ask some folks here a question I've had on my mind.

I like the Discover feed generally. I like the idea - I can find some posts outside of my own followers. That's nice.

But my issue is that it often throws in posts from 20 hours+ ago. Things move too quickly, and posts that old are...too old. I wish it was at max something around 3-4 hours old.

So therein lies my question: does anyone know of a feed that's basically just the Discover feed but with better time constraints?

Thanks!

I had to stop using it, I must've blocked over 30 words and unholy amounts of Show Less like this, Doesn't help that most don't use tags. Mine's just filled of political crap. You'd think people moving from other services to escape that would stop talking about it but nope, It's actually worse.

Strange, I was able to block most of the political content with like 20 words

45 words/tags so far, Still 80% of that feed is Political :/ I'm saying More like this to posts I like and Less Like this to that stuff too.

I stick to Following, seems ok so far

Popular with Friends is consistently decent in my experience. It's also less likely to show me posts that I have no interest in.

I stopped using it in favour of just sorting by β€œfollowing”.

Honestly the algorithm felt badly made. But this was like 5 months ago so they may have made it better by now!

I don't know if they have adjusted it all since they put it in.

Plus the "Show less/more like this" buttons don't really do anything as far as I can tell.
