Ah Google Photos, how great you once were. Every change seems to make it worse now (which I appreciate is not exactly a new issue with Google).
Off topic, but are there any good apps for viewing photos as an alternative to Google? I don't really care about backups and honestly want to try and avoid it because I have no use for it. I have a camera that I take all my photos with so all the photos on my phone are just memes and the like. I'm just so tired of google asking me if I want to backup my photos every other day when it's all just memes.
I recently switched to fossify's gallery app. So far, so good. Seems to do what i need.
Seconded - as a basic, here are all your photos, in folders, gallery it's perfect. Has a basic image editor built in too. It's great.
Oh, I also switched to fossify's camera app at the same time since google's camera didn't respect fossify as my default gallery.
Oh, interesting, I'll need to try that out.
