Looking forward to our future suburban compounds. Getting hunted by packs of robo dogs with automatic tracking rifles on their backs because I strayed too close to a gated community while scavenging.

I need to read that again. Then neuromancer because i figure those two are blurring together at this point.

Farenheit 451 (1953)

I think we not that far away from the "Panzerhund" from Wolfenstein. Including the correct 卐 markings.... I just didn't expect it being "powered by Microsoft" built by "DJI" with friendly support by PepsiCo, blasting propaganda commercials and incoherent Trump ramblings while patrolling the outer perimeters close to the (literal) wastelands.

Surely it's because of the ethical implications, right? Definitely not a preemptive strike against future competitors.

"look i think it's cool but the lawsuit is gonna be really really expensive and it's a bad time for negative press, shut it down but clone the github first"

They were like “hey we were gonna let you do this but you don’t even have any DOD contracts so that makes it unethical” “only heckin wholesome pentagon guys or pentagon lackeys are allowed here ✨

Aside from the fact that that's just a horrible thing to build:

It would only require some simple training for ChatGPT to receive a command such as “turn left” and understand how to translate that into a machine-readable language.

You can literally do this without AI. It's just speech to text and mapping simple phrases to relevant functions. There's no need to stick an unreliable AI into it.

Yes, but if you didn't put an AI into it, you wouldn't be able to say it was AI powered.

Dude was horning in on their turf, no way they could handle getting beaten to market by some rando

"Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer. That means I solve problems, not problems like what is beauty because that would fall within the purview of your conundrum of philosophy. I solve practical problems."
