knowing oingo boingo it's probably satirizing it from the pov of a capitalist, kind of like how they did with 'little girls' but i'm not sure.

So seems like from a cursory search it was meant to be satire but I think it definitely is coming from a liberal perspective, like "it's got problems but we can fix it." Eh, disappointing but nothing about danny has ever given me the expectation that he's anti-capitalilst I guess.
