Melbcat just accidentally almost yanked my earring out. I think she got her claw hooked and just pulled. Woke up to my earlobe being painfully stretched and my sleeper had popped open under pressure - I then had to literally unhook her claw from it.

It’s a bit sore so perhaps there was a tiny scratch or tear inside the piercing from the earring. I’ve washed it with soap and water and used some Betadine because my earlobe piercings are super prone to getting infected

::: spoiler The patch

:::

Seems like being away for a month didn't impact shit too heavily. No ferts in the last month either and the watering seems alright with no drama / edema. Phew.

That piece of mind the watering sys. gives is priceless.

Also saw about a dozen ladybugs so aphids are a non issue (for now).

Lots of smaller self sown chilli plants from last year just popping up now was a nice surprise.

Basil has been trimmed and moved into it's new pots. The one at the front doesn't look to have a good root system, which is why it is trimmed so much - I won't be surprised if it just dies anyway. The other two had good healthy roots, so I expect big things from them! The trimmed leaves have been chopped up and frozen in oil in ice cube trays.
