Nothing, still haven't finished my last game and have another one ready on the pile. Not giving in to the FOMO this time.

[–] smeg@feddit.uk 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

A healthy attitude to take. Having a Deck is finally letting me get through the backlog, I'm not going to start adding to it again!

[–] jherazob@beehaw.org 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Same, been going through my backlog and only rarely adding to it, although the Humble Choice subscription which i still can make myself leave keeps growing it slowly 😅

[–] smeg@feddit.uk 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Well I run !freegames@feddit.uk so I end up filling the backlog with freebies faster than I can play them anyway!

[–] jherazob@beehaw.org 2 points 10 months ago

Oh no! My backlog! 😱

[–] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 18 points 10 months ago (1 children)

gonna do what i always do; open up my wishlist of 300 items, cry, add 10 more things, get indecisive and close it

[–] etchinghillside@reddthat.com 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

You forgot to add something to the cart and then remove it a few days later.

[–] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 10 months ago

i would never do that looks at the five things i already have in my cart

[–] jonathan@lemmy.zip 18 points 10 months ago (3 children)

Psychonauts 2 is 90% off. Though it's not Steamdeck verified it's Linux native and should run pretty well.

[–] Elextra@literature.cafe 3 points 10 months ago

I picked up this and Slime Rancher so far!!

[–] domi@lemmy.secnd.me 3 points 10 months ago

Played through it on my Linux PC, worked flawlessly. Fantastic game!

[–] xavier666@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Nowadays, I don't even check if it's SD compatible. I just check if it's controller-friendly.

Oh boy, oh boy!

Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Hopefully plays decently on the deck.

[–] Junkernaught@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

I finished it on the Deck, it was basically perfect aside from achievements not triggering in the second and third games iirc. Modding it was a pain in the hole, had to essentially install the game on a windows machine, mod it and then transfer all of the files over. Not sure if anything has changed in the last year.

Picked up Balatro and Dave the Diver.

[–] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

If you enjoy Balatro, try Inscryption next. Don't read anything about it, just hop in blind

[–] Tovervlag@feddit.nl 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

love inscryption! It's really unique and a lot of fun.

[–] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 10 months ago

If I can walk away with only 1 or 2 games by the time the winter sale ends, my backlog will thank me.

[–] domi@lemmy.secnd.me 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I finally bought Nine Sols.

[–] Water_Melon_boy@lemmy.zip 3 points 10 months ago

You're in for a treat! They just released boss rush too!

[–] secret300@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I bought Skyrim, again... The special edition. And I got Tanuki Sunset which I didn't know had a full release all the way back in 2020. I played the fuck outta it in highschool on the web. Really fun game I recommend checking it out, you can play the classic version for free on itch

[–] crmsnbleyd@sopuli.xyz 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

How many skyrims do you have by now?

[–] secret300@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 10 months ago
  1. PS3, original Skyrim on PC, now special edition
[–] pathief@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

SpiritFarer is an amazing deal if you haven't played it yet. Super recommend it.

I finally bought Kingdom Hearts. The price is steep, let's see if it pays off.

Gonna keep an eye on this post for recs. Does anybody know if there's a working RemindMe bot yet?

[–] Dutczar@sopuli.xyz 3 points 10 months ago

This sale, only Sonic X Shadow Generations. I have a big payday in December though and will be buying a lot for Christmas.

Maybe Sonic is good again. I'd hope. I'll buy Frontiers since I've tried to avoid spoilers for too long.

[–] lepinkainen@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

https://www.humblebundle.com/games/rawcember-to-remember

There’s a nice bundle of Deck verified indie games in humble bundle

[–] Fubarberry@sopuli.xyz 2 points 10 months ago

I bought up Psychonauts 2 and Jedi Fallen Order for myself. A friend gifted me Astlibra (which I'm really excited about), and Brok the Investiagator.

I also gifted a copy of Shadows of Doubt and F.E.A.R. Hadn't realized until after my friend tried it, but turns out F.E.A.R. is one of those games that runs perfectly on linux, but doesn't run well on Windows anymore. Requires multiple patches to remove memory caps for windows, and even then it still has fps dips for some reason. Meanwhile linux/steam deck runs it perfectly.

[–] mjhelto@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago

Picked up Crime Scene Cleanup yesterday and I'm enjoying it, so far.

[–] Lemmchen@feddit.org 2 points 10 months ago

Out of stock in Germany.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 10 months ago

Fyi: hunter call of the wild does run well on the deck. It's quasi realistic and quite peaceful hunting game that very gradually unlocks less realistic stuff to make hunting and tracking easier.

[–] Regrettable_incident@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Alien isolation Uncharted legacy of thieves Resident evil Bioshock infinite.

I'm just getting back into gaming after a twenty year gap so I've got loads to catch up on. I've been enjoying FPS stuff, but I'm frustratingly bad, even on easy mode. Need more time for practise but work long hours, ho hum. Hopefully I'll find time to try all of the above. Recently finished bioshock original and loved it.
