Look, I know the forecast was for Saturday to be the last hot day of the year, but I thought we might have a few days of grey before the start of all-out autumn rainstorms.

I wore a coat whilst walking my kid to school. It felt good.

That's basically weather related Stockholm syndrome. Cold is the state you're used to

At least we had that one glorious week as a parting for the year.

I had to spend all my free time that week fixing my shed rooves and painting the fences but oh well!

We've been robbed this year. Yes, we had a cracking spring, but the moment the summer season began it was just terrible. And then as soon as it draws to an end, we have a heat wave!

I'm already looking forward to spring, the autumn / winter months are depressing.

Way over here in the SW US, we had a cold af summer, setting precipitation records in may and june, turning to hot days that set records. Now: cold.

Here in the Pacific Northwest of the US it's been dry AF. Not terribly hot but oddly dry. I live in a rain forest with no rain.

Denver had more rain than Seattle in May and June, which was an oddly wet season for us. 16"
