I haven't gotten a single date yet, but will keep you informed

You've misread friend, women will not be drawn to the box. You should try something shiny instead, that's pretty universal.

I think they're saying a date with a cat.

Imagine a blind date where the other person brings their cat. Could be eccentric epic-level trolling, or could be a red flag. Would it matter, or would you wait a bit to grasp more context? What if the cat is not leashed, but polite and charismatic and seems so well trained as to understand English? Would you guess the date is a witch? Or If the cat is leashed/caged, and feral, and might be a skunk, because they work in animal rescue and routinely bring wild animals with them?

I mean.....

I Don't necessarily see a problem with either of those scenarios. Unless they're abusing the cat/animals. I think I would suggest next time something more amenable to the animals, though.

Also, I might flrt with the animal more than the actual date.

I agree. I guess I was just imagining contrapositions to the "crazy cat lady" stereotype

I'm still waiting for the butthole cut

at first they won't be drawn to it, but once there is a cute cat inside, the women won't be able to resist petting it. the box is bait for the bait 😉

When i was 12-ish my dad and i trapped a large number of our feral cats using a bowl of food, a metal milk crate, a stick, a long string, and a healthy love of cartoons.

So what did you do with them once they were trapped? I imagine lifting that box would be putting your own life at risk, but even if you survived that you now have a feral cat to deal with.

They went into a burlap sack. My dad had a friend that asked for a single male cat to help with his mouse problem on his farm. My dad handed him a sack of 6 or 7 feral cats and told him to pick one. The sack was opened friend’s arm went into the sack and all of the cats came out like when Pandora opened the box. The friend said I guess I am keeping them all.

I initially thought they were catching multiple cats at once, and that can not go well for the humans. But the brutal honesty is if there are too many cats on a farm, it would be cool if they humanely euthanized them or just neutered all the toms. That is not necessarily how it works.

My mom was always against having our animals fixed. She was also against us having 30+ cats. Still to this day I cannot get her to understand how one affects the other.

It's not so much a trap as there isn't anything to detain them. But they do make pretty good lures for outdoor or even big cats.

Edit: That might be a photoshop. Hopefully this one is real.
