I saw demos of Steam Input over the tubes and figured out I might be able to put together a mapping that makes Renoise the music tracker somewhat usable. I've had great success. Will be releasing the mapping on Steam as soon as I've seen it through some more iterations.

I’d love to see a video of your workflow. Not just a screen recording, to actually see how you work the inputs. I’d love something like this to get super fluent with.

Me too! That would be really cool to watch

I guess a demo will be necessary :)

I am curious if you are using an external DAC or the built-in audio interface for your headphones.

Keeping it simple, I'd rather plug a power bank there :D Or a mini M-Audio keyboard.

Oh... Trackers. That takes me back, I think I've still got some mod files from old BBS copy cd's from the late 80's and early 90's...

I'd love to see your mappings. I was going to give Bitwig a go but a tracker makes more sense with a controller. I've been curious about ReNoise too.

I live renoise but feel like no keyboard is a non starter for me. How's the experience using just the deck controller?

that's the challenge. a couple of things still bugging me on the layout but it's absolutely usable and fun already.
