I am currently collecting tips for easy entry into mapping. One of the top recommendations is of course StreetComplete, which is available for Android.

iOS users keep asking for something comparable for their OS. For an equally simple start with OSM, there is Every Door, which is also available for iOS. It's a very good app, but it really doesn't have the fun factor of StreetComplete and the UI is likely to scare off iOS users in particular.

There is also MapComplete, which can be used as a web app.

Do you have any other recommendations or ideas for iOS-Users?

I feel like this is more important for client map apps, and not the surveyor ones? If someone wanted to add data, they would be more likely to deal with a slightly unfamiliar UI.

That being said, I'm also curious about more options:)

No. Many people are interested in adding bits of map data, but are scared by confusing UI. That is pretty much the point of mapcomplete. For example, some emergency response rooms in Belgium have added AEDs precisely because it is simple to use. They won't bother to deal with JOSM or even iD!

There is also Go, Map! which introduced some comparable features within the last few versions. But it's also far away from the comfort and user friendlyness of StreetComplete.

Here is the issue about porting streetcompete to ios: https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/1892

Current goals are in this comment: https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/1892#issuecomment-1671074967

Long way to go, but this is the 0th step.
