I heard of Yarvin before he was (in)famous and I'm amazed at how close he has gotten to power, given how far outside of the mainstream his ideas are.
I listened to a podcast about Vance and where he got his ideas. They said that group of people think there are 3 kinds of government: 1) democracy, 2) oligarchy. 3) monarchy.
They think democracy has failed and become an oligarchy. So their solution is to overthrow everything and put in a American monarchy.
Yup this is the one Yarvin and Vance:
Techno libertarians, white nationalists and JD Vance are all linked to a movement known as the 'New Right.' What is this movement and how has it influenced the Republican candidate for vice president?

Yarvin sounds even more deranged than Trump.
He's the worst kind. The kind with a fucked up vision.
Trump only has a vision of his bank account, the danger comes from his incompetence and apathy to what happens around him as far as the government goes.
I think thats what trump was looking for. Someone people would want in charge less than him. Jokes on him though as its the exact things his rapid fans would want over him and they are more likely to do the deed as well.
This is terrible, and he needs to be stopped. Having said that, Rasputin was said, and this is all I could think about.
I just started watching the History of the World Part 2 and all I can think of is Johnny Knoxville now.
It’s a helluva drug
Curtis Yarvin is also adjacent to the Effective Altruism people. Got to make a yarn and thumbtack chart of the connections...
Everytime I read some story like this I wonder at what point we are finally turning THEM into biodiesel?
I kept saying something similar every time I learned more about project 2025. These people are so goddamn evil and misguided in their convictions it's an absolute mystery how we all just sit back and let it happen, myself included.
Sounds like a shittier version of Snow Crash...
How do people like this exist? Why can't it just be enough to have more money than you could ever spend?
These people have an illness.
