Hello!

Why is my:

https://lemmy.mindoki.com/c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml

having only old posts with zero comments when:

https://lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy

is full of new posts and comments?

Is lemmy.ml federating small communities or is there some reason why I'm not getting the Ew information?

I'm subbed with a user from my instance.

Cheers!

Probably because you don't have your language settings configured correctly. You need to make sure it's set to show you all of the languages you speak and undetermined

speak and undetermined

Double emphasis on the and there ... this problem comes up somewhat regularly and this is often the fix.

You can select multiple languages (in case you didn't know) and you do so (in the default UI at least, from memory) by holding down Ctrl or Cmd (for macOS) while selecting the languages.

Holy donkey!

That did it!

Thanks, you know if there is a bug tracked for this? It really (really) makes the whole Lemmy experience feel quite crappy if you're not on the instance itself hosting a community...

Cheers!

When I set up my account there was a warning about it in the settings and undefined was selected by default.

Yes, but my understanding was that 'undefined' was enough.

So it was your understanding that was bugged.
