What a fucking dumpster fire of a website.

[-] InternetUser2012@midwest.social 16 points 4 months ago

You surf the web with no adblocker? Interesting choice.

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Only on my phone. I use uBlock Origin on my notebook.

[-] Manifish_Destiny@lemmy.world 19 points 4 months ago

...why?

Firefox for Android allows extensions.

[-] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 4 months ago

Don't kink shame, some people just enjoy being raw dogged by the web.

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I'm old and like Chrome. I will give FireFox a try.

[-] InternetUser2012@midwest.social 6 points 4 months ago

Firefox for the win. Chrome is ass

[-] mrcleanup@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

On Android... settings/connections/more connection settings/private DNS.

Paste in dns.adguard-dns.com

Use any browser you want, no ads.

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

[-] Retrograde@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

Odd mine looks much different

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

Ad blocker? I've never installed one on my phone.

[-] Retrograde@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

I use ublock origin on my Firefox default but this seems to have opened in chrome since it was a redirect. I'm honestly not sure lol

+1000 anytime I accidentally open a link in Chrome I'm reminded how utterly unusable the "modern" Internet is without ad blocking at a bare minimum

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I'm running Chrome.

[-] UsernameIsTooLon@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

How is it dark mode with the toggle being off for you? Do you have forced dark mode on?

[-] Fridgeratr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 months ago

Probably Dark Reader. It's an extension that makes every page darkmode

[-] Retrograde@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

This is indeed the way, as is ublock origin

[-] charleroi2@lemmy.ml 7 points 4 months ago

52$ for pistachio? WTF

[-] nutsack@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

incredible. journalism is thriving

[-] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I was so irritated by the postage stamp sizes windy into the or of the article that I didn't even notice what they were selling. Maybe they're magical pistachios?

[-] cjoll4@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago

the postage stamp sizes windy into the or of the article

huh?

I should proofread when I'm swiping on my phone.
