Instead of just saying that both sides are bad (which is a fair opinion to have) you couch that information (or the data that you used to derive it) in statements that allow for good outcomes to the best of your ability. You're probably going to say something along the lines of "people need to be better at understanding things" as a counter-point to what I'm saying, but remember: we don't pick our audience. It's on us to craft what we say to convey the information we want in ways that will lead to the desired results.
