So, not sure if I am completely off base here, but I had this odd thing happen today where I couldn't post an URL because whenever I did, part of it would be replaced with the text removed. You can see what I am talking about in the screenshot, and I am linking my comment below. Another commenter replied saying it was likely something related to a slur filter in my instance, so I am coming here for help to understand the issue. Sorry if this is completely wrong, I am not very well versed in the workings of the fediverse and different instance implementations. Here's the comment:

EDIT: if it matters, I am using the Boost for Lemmy android client

Yep, the string "the app" as one word gets removed

I thought they removed the stupid slur list a long time ago. That’s stupid. Also theapp.

Did you check your phone or computer's text shortcuts? Has it ever happened for any other words?

Using on a mobile app, not sure what you mean text shortcuts? Like auto complete? At first I thought it might copying the URL from Firefox with an extension that cleans trackers in URLs, but, not typed it manually several times, appears in the comment editor just fine, then shows removed when I post

huh. I was going to guess this was something to do with that creepy (how's that for understatement) "the happening" celebrity porn leak thing that happened.
