If you have access to litmus paper you can do a fun experiment- test your saliva PH, then think about biting into a lemon and test again. It will go from roughly neutral to very basic in preparation for the incoming acid.

Amazon. “Universal indicator paper” or “ph test strips” should give you plenty.
