God damn it. I love their hardware but it's not readily available and properly supported on the software side. Also, for being the manufacturer that makes all the lenses their camera algorithm sucks.

It most definitely is. Look up Olle Nilsson on YouTube to see what a professional photographer can do with an Xperia camera (Xperia 5 V).
